What to do If ?

We’ve provided some information for you with regards to policies and actions in the event of any of the circumstances listed below. If you can’t find the information you need please check the FAQ, ask The Nursery manager Caroline Betts or contact us.

What if my child as a Illness

If your child is ill please refer to our Sickness Exclusion Policy.

If you are unavoidably delayed and expect to be late collecting your child from nursery please contact the nursery as soon as possible to advise them please also view additional costs in our Prices

What happens if my child is taken ill at the Nursery?

If your child is taken ill at the Nursery, we will contact you immediately. Our staff is trained to give First Aid for minor injuries and we have comprehensive Policies and Procedures in place to deal with more serious emergencies. Should your child have sickness or diahorrea we have a 48 hour exclusion from nursery from the last bout. Also if your child has an unexplained rash or a sticky eye they should not attend Please see our Nursery Exclusion Policy

What happens if I'm Late in the collection of my Child :

Sometimes parents are unavoidably delayed. Please let us know as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary concerns. Arrangements will be made to look after your child until you arrive. In the event that you are consistently late, we will make an additional charge to cover staff costs. If a child has not been picked up at the end of the day and parent/carer cannot be contacted nor the emergency contact, 30 minutes leeway will be given then Social Work Department will be contacted to give advice.

Extra sessions/cancelling a place:

If you would like to book extra sessions or cancel your child’s place at nursery please contact the Nursery Manager in the first instance. For extra sessions please view our prices

Financial difficulties:

If you are experiencing financial difficulties please contact your Nursery Manager as soon as possible. You may be able to get help please view our Government Funding Page for information and external links.

Is my child allowed to bring toys to Nursery?

Please discourage your child from bringing toys to Nursery as they can cause problems - tears if they get lost or broken; there can be quarrels and arguments; and very often it can distract children from taking part in the activities we offer at Nursery. Of course, we are always pleased to see anything special or new, but it is best if you take it home with you when you leave your child

If you have any feedback regarding the care, safety, welfare or education of your child, please speak to the Nursery Manager Caroline Betts on 01422 323231 or Contact via Our Contact Page
