Stepping Stones Day Nursery Baby Room 0 -
Our bright and attractive baby room provides lots of rich opportunities for babies to stimulate their active minds. Our spacious room offers a wide variety and range of carefully selected resources and furnishings to allow choice and independence and also space to crawl, roll and walk in a gentle unhurried manner.
Our sensory area is visually stimulating, maximising their curiosity and allows them to explore, play imaginatively and experiment using different materials.
The framework we use is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which helps us to value each child and recognise their individual needs.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery Toddler Room 20 Months -
As the babies move through into our active toddler room we create a calm, relaxing yet more structured environment to help the children thrive as they play. The children begin to socialise and interact more with their peers through group activities, story time and imaginative play.
Our friendly, qualified staff enhance the children's play with special experiences that offer carefully managed risks and challenges.
The babies and toddlers need lots of early interaction, we talk, sing and play with them in groups or individually. We give them plenty of love and cuddles, helping them to feel secure, happy and confident.
We provide activities that enable the toddlers to learn through their senses, exploring and making sense of their environment. We encourage social interaction with each other to enable them to become skilful communicators. The day Nursery area has been designed to be welcoming and stimulating.
During this period, children are absorbed in discovery and exploration. We encourage messy play, singing and stories and arrange activities to encourage them to develop into confident learners. During this time, children are eager to develop independence.
Our Day Nursery environment enables them to explore this. Our environment is safe and interesting with age-
Our Day nursery in Halifax is run by qualified and experienced staff. We operate a key worker system, which gives each member of staff responsibility for just a few children.
Each child in the group has one special adult to relate to, which makes settling into the group much easier. In addition the key worker is in a position to monitor the progress and tailor the curriculum needs of each child. The key worker maintains links with the child’s home setting, working with parents through shared record keeping to ensure that all children are supported in reaching their full potential. Also, all of our staff have continuous in-
